Trade Event Representation

  • TRENZ | 2023

    Objective: Engage with agents, drive additional room nights/revenue, meet new agents, emerging markets, in the Luxury section.

    Attendance: Annual

    Total cost to attend: NZ13,871 excl. GST this includes the physical floor space, stand, furniture, registrations for personnel, and giveaways, flights, accommodation and incidentals.

    • Cost to attend for a 50+ room hotel is $6,200 + GST
    • Cost to attend for a 30-50 room hotel is $4,800 + GST
    • Cost to attend for a >30 room hotels is $2750 + GST

    Number of scheduled appointments (2023): 50 > 15 minutes per appointment.

    Hours: 220+ (includes: preparation, ongoing maintenance of the TRENZ Connect platform, diary management, appointment preparation, personnel hours on the stand during the event).

    Revenue for each hotel 23/24 FY from agents met with:

    • The George – $2m+
    • Regent of Rotorua – $970k+
    • Hulbert House –  $430k+

  • MEETINGS | 2024

    Objective: Engage with corporate event and meeting planners, incentive planners and professional conference organisers and drive leads for the hotels, in the Luxury section.

    Attendance: Annual

    Total cost to attend: NZ11,320 excl. GST this includes the physical floor space, stand, furniture, registrations for personnel, and giveaways, flights, accommodation and incidentals.

    • Cost to attend for 50+ room hotel $5k
    • Cost to attend for 35-50 room hotel $4k
    • Cost to attend for >30 room hotel $2.3k

    Number of scheduled appointments (2023): 35 + 15 additional appointments secured through networking, contacting missed buyers list and working the floor.

    Hours: 200+ (includes: preparation, ongoing maintenance of the TRENZ Connect platform, diary management, appointment preparation, personnel hours on the stand during the event).

    Revenue for each hotel 23/24 FY from agents met with: yet to be determined.

    Office & PA Show

    Objective: It is to engage with corporate PAs and EAs booking accommodation and events/meetings for C-Suite and Senior Leadership and to inform and update them on the hotels, maintain and increase room nights, new opportunities with new corporates, and drive leads for MICE segment.

    Attendance: Show is held annually but we attend this bi-annually.

    Small Luxury Hotels of the World Roadshows (Australia and North America)

    Objective: To establish and strengthen partnerships with key travel advisors, showcasing the unique offerings to attract discerning travellers seeking exclusive and luxurious experiences an position our properties as preferred destinations within the Small Luxury Hotels portfolio.

    Attendance: Annually.

    Explore Central North Island

    Objective: To network with potential partners, increase brand visibility, attract new business, and create relationships that will drive bookings and elevate Regent of Rotorua’s reputation in the North Island.

    Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) Roadshows

    Objective: To support each RTO in-market activity, foster and strengthen partnerships with travel advisors and media offshore. Showcasing the uniqueness of the properties while exploring collaboration opportunities with key stakeholders to stimulate and drive conversions.

    Attendance: Delivered annually for each destination but our attendance is alternative years.
